Sermon Title: Miracles must abound!
“Fellow Israelites, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know.” (Acts 2:22)
Dearly Beloved,
Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
Have you ever experienced a miracle in your life firsthand?
If you profess to be a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ, you must realise by now that every miraculous encounter is an encounter with Jesus; and that every encounter with our Risen Saviour will result in the miracles of His Love, Presence and Power - in, and through, you.
In fact, the Christian life must be an ongoing series of miraculous events; for every Christian’s life must be filled with the ongoing encounter with our Lord Jesus Christ.
In the Gospels and beyond, every encounter with Jesus is an encounter filled with miraculous healing, deliverance, salvation and redemption; and that is certainly consistent even in the present age – for He “is the same yesterday and today and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8)
Is your life filled with encounters with Jesus?
If so, your life must be filled with His miracles; and His miracles must abound in your life as you bear testament to His Loving Presence and Salvific Power.
There can be no doubt in the Christian’s mind.
Our Lord Jesus Christ is revealed to us through “miracles, wonders and signs” – that God did in us – as we ourselves must know.
Do you know Christ? Do you know the Power of His redemption and resurrection?
Do you know that every encounter with Christ is a miraculous encounter?
Do you know that every encounter with Christ must be encounters filled with His miracles?
Do you truly know Christ?
Without Christ’s Presence and Power in our lives – made possible only through the baptism of the Holy Spirit - we cannot profess to be His disciples.
Without a deep recognition, embrace and anticipation of His ongoing miracles in our lives, we can hardly profess to know Him; much more declare our love, faith and hope in Him.
We serve the God of infinite Love, Power and Might – the God of miracles.
That is who He is; and that is how He loves.
To truly know Him is to become holy vessels of His Love, Power and Might.
To truly love and serve Him is to become holy vessels abounding and bringing forth His miracles to the world.
Shalom.
Let us pray.
Our Father in Heaven,
Hallowed be Your Name.
Your Kingdom come, Your Will be done; on earth, as it is in heaven.
Holy Spirit, fill and empower me with Your Presence, Purposes and Power!
Thank You for the miracle of Your Salvation in my life!
And thank You for Your miracles of healing, deliverance, redemption and restoration in, and through, me – that I may fully and truly live as Your Holy witness to the Nations.
May my heart be set on Your love and power; may I be resolute in encountering You daily – and in daily encountering the Power of Your Presence and Love; through Your miraculous works in all that I am, and all that I do.
I acknowledge that all Your works are miraculous; and I ask that You would work in me deeply and widely – that as You reveal Your Love and Glory to the world, empower me with Your Spirit to be Your Holy Vessel who willingly abounds and consistently brings-forth Your miracles to all around me.
Lord, may I truly know You; may I truly serve You; may I truly love You.
Grant me courage, strength, resolve and wisdom to daily participate in Your ongoing, holy work of bringing salvation to the world.
Yes, Lord Jesus – make me Your vessel of infinite love, power and might – that I may participate in Your miraculous work of saving the lost, healing the sick, and setting the prisoners free!
May my life be filled with Your miracles!
I thank You and pray all these in the Name of our King, Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
